Abstract: Four serial large dams at upper Brantas River was built, those are Sengguruh, Karangkates, Wlingi and Lodoyo. As multipurpose dams, indeed having important role to control flood discharges, irrigation, water supplies, and electricity generations. Due to the limitation of flow at Brantas River this research intended to maximize the electricity production. Ten days interval of average discharge from November 2006 to October 2007 to be analysed in the model. Turbine capacity in each dam are Sengguruh 2x14, 5 MW, Karangkates 3x35 MW, Wlingi 2x24 MW, and Lodoyo 4, 5 MW. The optimization of model subjected to maximize total annual energy production by using integer linear programming approach. The result of this analysis shows that the total electricity production is 1. 417, 36 million kwh, which is doubled comparing with the existing electricity production of 707, 98 million kwh.
