The Experimental Study on Clear Water Field Characteristics of a Turbid Water Hydraulic Separation Device

Abstract: The clear water field in the turbid water hydraulic separation device has been measured with Particle Image Velocity (PIV) instrument. The PIV technique provides for us with the inner velocity field, vortex structures and vortex field in the separation device. Meanwhile, in this experimental test the distribution of velocity in flow field, vortex field and velocity vortex as well as pictures of velocity component strain variability and flow line of all the measured planes inside the device are all presented. Along with the analysis the distribution rule of the tangential and axial velocity, the flow along with the analysis the distribution rule of the tangential and axial velocity, the flow characteristics of the clear water field inside the turbid water hydraulic separation device have been also discussed in this paper.
