Abstract: The paper gives an overview of an initial employment of the ADCP flow measurements technology in fish pass design on the Ruhr River in Western Germany and describes potential future fields of application, such as in-situ analysis of fish pass or downstream fish protection facility (e. g. fish screen) hydraulics.
