Abstract: Based on the principle of streamlines being Orthogonl to equipotential curves in 2-D plane potential flow, a new method to determine the source terms (P and Q) of Poisson equations for grid generation is developed with which a satisfactory grid can be obtained. The interior grid distribution is controlled by prior selection of the grid point distribution along the boundary of the region, and the orthogonality condition in the neighborhood of the boundary is satisfied. In addition, the generated grid can adapt to the change of fluid physical quantities. The numerical grid generation examples show that the proposed method is better than other ones.
