Abstract: In constructing a city or a complex, rain is considered as a burden. Therefore, a primary goal in rainwater management is removing bothersome rainwater from our living environment as quickly as possible. In principle, in managing rainwater through storm sewer, rainwater is gathered collectively and separated collectively in a centralized manner. It impedes rainwater circulation maintained in a natural state through soil infiltration. Recently, however, there have been movements to change such a unilateral and unnatural rainwater separation management method. There are movements to shift from a rainwater separation-focused management method to infiltrate, store and utilize rainwater on living grounds such as a city or a complex. That is, in addition to a shift of direction toward naturalized rainwater management, specific studies and achievements from actual applications have been released.
