Abstract: The groundwater resources of Yiyuan County were evaluated, and the present situation of water qualities of surface water and groundwater were qualitatively analyzed. Some measures are proposed for solving the problem of water resources deficiency in Yiyuan County faced by sustainable development, including increase of the utilizable volume of surface water without causing environmental problems and irrigation with polluted slightly surface water and removal of its harmful components by the purification function of soil, so as to realize pollution remediation and meet the demand for water supply.
