Abstract: In terms of the satisfaction on different function of the river water and from the protection of entironment as well as the utilization’s points of view, this article puts forward a research method of river water configuration (RWC) from the microcosmic point of view. This method divides the river water into the ecological water volume (EWV), safe water volume (SWV), risk water volume (RWV) and disaster water volume (DWV). The ranges between the different water volumes are determined by the special runoff. This article discusses the conception of the four kinds of water volume. At the same time the function of each kind of water volume in the river water configuration (RWC) also is discussed. In addition, taking the Songhuajiang River as the example, this paper quantitatively analyzes the quantity of each of the water volume and then discusses the fluctuation characteristics of the four kinds of water. The last conclusion indicates that the analytic method of this article provides with very important significance to optimize distribution of the river water resources.
