Abstract: In recent years some problems of reservoir sedimentation have bean deeply studied theoretically by the authors. The main contributions, e. g. the new concepts, formulae and conclusions, are briefly described in this paper in order to provide a reference for further study. Part of the study results are introduced, including constitutive equation and double valuedness of carrying capacity of non-uniform sediment, density flow in reservoir, reservoir capacity during sedimentation and theoretical equation of trap efficiency, delta sedimentation of reservoir, elevation of back water level caused by sedimentation, coefficient of saturation recovery, size distribution of carrying capacity and efficiency bed material, and etc.
