Abstract: The paper reports the results of a large investigation in order to identify the available existent technology and to analyze its applicability referring to the recovery of the filling-up volume of an artificial reservoir. After an overview of the problems related to the silting up of a reservoir, several brief examples are reported which represent a starting point for a better understanding of the problems concerning of the different kinds of technology described.
