Abstract: After analyzing the progress of construction of the Three Gorges Project (TGP) and the demands of related departments for unite dispatching operation of TGP and Gezhouba Project, the reasonable dispatching operation schemes during cofferdam impoundment period were worked out according to the studies on following four aspects: construction of flood sluicing structures, safety of cofferdam during flood period in 3rd stage construction, cascade power dispatch and navigation dispatch. Some problems to be studied for the normal operation of TGP are listed in this paper too.
