Abstract: The results of a study of natural waters and speleothems moonmilk (secondary calcite deposits) in the Proschalnaya karst Cave (Far East, Russia) with the use of microbiological (qPCR and cultivation of bacterial isolates) and physicochemical methods (mass spectrometry and scanning electron microscopy) are presented.
