Abstract: At Miharu Dam reservoir, we conducted the survey on the invertebrate community at emergent (terrestrial) Salix forest after inundated by dam operation, using pit fall traps and a Malaise trap. Just after the emergence of terrestrial habitat, many carabid beetles promptly invaded a new habitat. Many variable taxa of invertebrates were collected by both of pit fall and Malaise traps, such as carabid beetles, Collembora, Orthoptera (crickets), Diptera (midges), millipede, Arachnid (spiders) etc. Predictable seasonal successions of invertebrate composition and prompt invasion of carabid beetles after emergent were observed in every year.
