Abstract: The availability of habitats is one of the key factors for stabilizing fish populations in HPP affected rivers. Within the framework of the FIThydro project we determine the habitat availability and quality based on the sediment structure at HPP Schiffmuhle in Switzerland. Therefore during a field survey different methods were applied. This includes also the collection of information on potential structural improvements by carrying out sediment flushing. The first field trip took place middle of March 2018, the results will be presented on the ISE2018. Different methods are applied and will be developed further in the project.
