Abstract: The attempt to manage freshwaters as they enter the saline environment represents a largely unused water resource management strategy, potentially with global application. Some speculative novel and innovative applications of flexible boom/skirt systems are proposed herein, following from conceptual and small-scale laboratory evaluations.
