Simulation on Thermal Stratification of the Huge-Cubage and Deep Reservoirs

Abstract: In this study the laterally averaged two-dimensional k–εturbulent model is firstly tested in Ertan reservoir and the results are compared favorably with the observed measurements in site. Then it is applied to predict the thermal stratification for another reservoir. The forming, growth and erosion of the thermocline are simulated and the development of the thermal structure is analyzed all-around.
