Study on 3-D Reaeration Model for Natural Streams

Abstract: With the combination of foregoing study on interfacial mass transfer and present study in numerical turbulence models by the authors, a3-D turbulent reaeration model for natural streams including accurate hydrodynamic characteristics and reaeration rate is developed. The model is examined with experimental data conducted by Krenkel and Orlob. The reaeration processes of straight streams with small width and large water depth are also simulated. According to the computed results by the model, some suggestions about the study on reaeration processes of typical streams are given.
