Abstract: Based on the hydraulic conditions of the project and experimental study, the initial designs of the discharge dam and energy dissipators were improved. 13 outlets were reduced to 12. The energy dissipation by hydraulic jumps were replaced by combined energy dissipators of 6 stilling basins and 6energy dissipation of surface regime under appropriate operations of the gates. The project has been completed for 4 years, and good effect has been achieved. The results obtained herein could be referenced by similar projects.
