Abstract: Obviously, global warming is getting serious issues against sustainable water resource management. In order to manage water resources appropriately in the future, the effectiveness of existing reservoirs and the flood risk is evaluated quantitavely through the distributed runoff model simulation with GCM output. The simulation results clearly show that hydrological circumstances will greatly change in the future. The flood risk in Katsura River Basin is predicted to increase. On the other hand, the flood risk in Kizu River Basin will decrease.
