Abstract: It is very important to find out the factors which affect body-displacement and forecast the measure of effect. Wave force, the factor which gives a direct affect to the breakwater, has been pointed out the main cause of settlement for particularly rubble mound breakwater which permits settlement to some degree. But the effect of wave-settlement has not been considered and reflected in design. Therefore in this study, we quantitatively analyzed the effect of the settlement due to ocean wave force based on the field survey settlement data of the eastern breakwater at Busan new port so that it can be applied to fundamental data of study.
