Abstract: There is evidence that long-term climate changes have begun to alter streamflow patterns throughout the world. This talk will focus on the changes that are taking place in the Northwestern portions of the US in the Puget Sound Region. Here, changes have been particularly noticeable during spring and summer months, and these changes will likely continue throughout the 21st century. This talk explores our ability to evaluate such changes in general and the ability of regional water supply systems to meet future demands in the face of such changes.
