Abstract: The behavior of free surface flow on a rectangular free over fall which has a triangular shape is studied experimentally to obtain water surface profile (WSP) and the relation between brink depth and critical depth. A series of experiments were conducted in a rectangular laboratory flume, with two shapes of crest and three angles of inclination. The first falls were shaped with inclination toward inside while the second falls inclined toward out side, and the selected angles were (600,750 and 900). This brings the number of modes to six states. Equations have been predicted to relate the brink depth and critical depth as well as equations to proposed distance at which (WSP) intersect with the critical depth for all modes. The results prevail that the brink depth measured at the center line for the first falls was (6%) greater than the second falls while this value measured at left or right of the center line on the second falls was (2.5%) greater than the first falls. The ratio of brink depth to critical depth at center line for first falls was greater (3%) than the second falls, this value increased to (27%) when Froud number increased.
