Abstract: Connection of turbulent diffusion with Eulerian and Lagrangian scales of turbulence in nature flows is considered. The results of calculation of time and space Eulerian scales for different rivers are presented. Possibility of using of Taylor's hypothesis to obtain space Eulerian scale from the time one is discussed. The estimation of Lagrangian time scale as a function of Eulerian scale is suggested. Using the relation between Eulerian and Lagrangian scales of turbulence which was obtained in laboratory flume, we derive an expression for the coefficient of turbulent diffusion in river.
