Abstract: One of the most popular methods of full pipe flow measurement is point velocity measurement and conversion of velocity into the flow rate. The developed logger PIPeLog18 with velocity and pressure sensors is presented in this paper. The emphasis is given on the software that allows accurate velocity measurement regardless of the pipe/sensor diameter ratio, and velocity profiling by integration using theoretical near-wall velocity extrapolation. Based on calculated flow, the software finds the ratio between obtained and theoretical velocity for particular insertion depth together with continual self-recalibration based on the flow field hydraulic properties.
