Abstract: In the paper, after a short bibliographic review, some aspects about the air entrainment process along the longitudinal axis and the interaction between this phenomenon and the pressure fluctuations are analysed. The experimental campaign has been performed using a stepped spillway model located in the hydraulic laboratory at the UPC in Barcelona (Spain).
