Abstract: In the vertical drop shaft of urban drainage system, water flows with spiral motion and air is entrained. This Phenomenon is very interesting in the similitude of motions between air and water such as air is pulled into the upper part of drop shaft. There is no scale similarity between water and air, because the relation of water and air is the same condition as surface tension, density and viscosity in model and prototype. Theoretical analysis and a few consideration on the model test are shown in this paper.
