Optimum D Esign of F Self-Regulating Spring Steel Throttles for Sewer Overflow Tanks

Abstract: In this paper a general equation was depeloped in order to calculate velocity coeffi-cients for sharp-edged gates in a wide range for water level and angle variation. One important application of this equation was to design a fexible spring-steel throttles which can be used in sewer retention tanks. These devices offer ecological and eco-nomical advantages. The outflow is nearly constant and independent of variable wa-ter levels.
