Abstract: It is known that the bed form of a meandering channel relates to especially the secondary flow. In this study primary and secondary flow distributions are obtained considering the convective acceleration terms changing to the longitudinal direction in momentum equations. Depth averaged solutions were derived by a perturbation method. The calculated values for theoretical three-dimensional distributions are compared with the experimental results obtained for the meandering channel. The results are fairly consistent between theoretical and experimental values.
