Non-Fickian Random Walk Diffusion Models

Abstract: A new particle tracking technique is outlined which generates non-Fickian diffusion by employing fractional Brownian motion (fBm). Herein, we extend the technique to use simpler probability distribution functions in the random walk approximation of the fBm. Using an fBm particle tracking model allows greater flexibility in the simulation of diffusive processes in the coastal environment.
