Abstract: An analysis is outlined of the application of a one dimensional and a two dimensional hydraulic model, to a scheme to restore the River Cole, Solihull, UK. Brief results from the two programs are supplied. Findings indicate potential benefits in a two dimensional approach, both in the analysis of the resulting flow patterns and consequential aquatic habitats that are produced.
