Abstract: A new paradigm is introduced for computational hydraulic modelling. It centres upon systems with multi-agent, message passing architectures in which the knowledge is induced into the systems through agent-social learning process. This social learning process is globally connected using intranets. These systems have to be analysed and designed in all their sociotechnical dimensions.
