Abstract: When solid particles are continuously dropped into a stagnant water from a point source, fluid motion is induced and solid/fluid two-phase flows occurs. Taking an analogy with a bubble plume into consideration we call such a flow "particle plume”. We can commonly observe the flow in waste disposal of several materials in sea, lake and etc. It is a quite important for developing a method which predict correctly the behaviour of the dumped materials, to investigate turbulence transport of the induced flow fields.
