Abstract: Light, non-aqueous phase liquids (LNAPL's), such as crude oil, heating oil, kerosene, diesel, gasoline, jet fuel, lubricating oils and hydraulic fluids are typically stored above or below grade in storage tanks and lines. Unfortunately, unwanted releases from these tanks/product lines may occur due to settlement, seismic disturbances, deterioration, negligence or other means of material failure; and as a consequence, fluids from these tanks may impact the ground water quality and yield it unusable.
