Abstract: The behaviour of reliability of over-year reservoirs on the storageyield plane is investigated, using annual streamflows having a first order dependence structure and assumed to follow a normal distribution. Stochastic simulation technique has been used to obtain the failure information. Sensitive ranges of reservoir capacity are located from reliability consideration, which will be useful for the reservoir planners and designers.
