Abstract: At present time in many countries of the world a faulty practice of the management and use (industrial, agricultural, urban, recreation, forestry, transport etc.) of the territories adjacent to the water bodies is developed. This fact inevitably disturbs the ecological balance within the system "watershed water body" and impacts on terrestrial and aquatic complexes and on the water quality. In this connection a need of buffer water protection area creation arises, nevertheless in many cases their boundaries are limited by administrative order without taking into account the knotty interrelations and interdependencies between natural components and the landscape structure peculiarity feature of a territory.
