Abstract: The present work presents the statistical data from tests, which were obtained in compression tests on the sea ice strength determination in the Okhotsk sea. The heterogeneity of ice porosity distribution on the ice thickness is investigated. The ice porosity on each horizont is distributed under the normal law. The dependence of ice strength and strain rate is investigated. The studies of strength property heterogeneity in various ranges of strain rates are carried out).
