Abstract: The paper has explained utilizing- of satellite remote sensing photos and aerial photos to investigate the numbers, scale and distribution of the glacial terminal moraine lakes at upper stream of Nianchu River. Three large glacial lakes were analysed. The Bai Lake was recognized to be the a typical dangerous glacial lake that would burst in favorable climatic conditions. Field investigations were carried out to collect the necessary data and to prove correctness of the office analysed results. Outburst flood of Bai Lake was estimated with USWB BREACH model of US weather Bureau and computer program.
