Abstract: As a pioneer in the Chinese offshore petrolewn development, the Bohai Oil Corporation now has become one of the major operators in the current offshore oil production in the country after its 27 years of having dealings with sea ice. The paper gives a concise description of the sea ice engineering activities aiming at petrolewn exploitation in the Bohai Sea during this period.
