Abstract: In Siberia, under severe climatic conditions, ice was successfully passed on a number of hydroelectric stations in the erection stage, in spring, through a stretch of the river constricted by cofferdams, through spillway openings, and bottom outlets. A special hydraulic regime was developed for passing ice through bottom outlets upstream and downstream from structures under construction.
