Abstract: Cengklik Reservoir is a multi-purpose reservoir located in Boyolali Regency. Besides being used for water irrigation needs, this reservoir also used by the community for fishing and tourism activities. The community utilizes the reservoir for fishing activities (aquaculture) using a floating net cage system. The survey results in the field show that there are more than 1350 floating net cage (KJA) in the waters of the Cengklik Reservoir. The large number of KJA causes the reservoir waters to be more fertile (eutrophication) and makes the growth of water hyacinth increase so that it covers the reservoir waters. Eutrophication is an environmental problem caused by an increase in nutrients such as nitrogen. It also causes several problems including ecosystem damage, irrigation problems and also as a breeding ground for mosquitoes. The majority of the population around Cengklik reservoir work as fish farmers and cultivators. The use of chemical fertilizers for agriculture and fish farming using the floating net cage method is thought to be one of the causes of eutrophication in the Cengklik Reservoir. The objective of this research is to develop a method of reducing eutrophication to improve water quality through community-based programs. The community can contribute to improving the agricultural and fishery management system in the Cengklik Reservoir Catchment Area. This activity supports the achievement of several goals of SDGs, there are Goal 6 (Clean Water and Adequate Sanitation), Goal 13 (Tackling Climate Change), and Goal 14 Aquatic Ecosystems.
