Abstract: Natural rivers transport water and materials within a defined geometric boundary. Research on rivers often relies upon the geometric data of river surfaces and boundaries. However, numerous rivers originating from mountainous regions cannot be adequately gauged in the field to obtain sufficient fundamental data due to the treacherous terrain.
