Abstract: During the operation of coastal nuclear power plants, it is necessary to withdraw cooling water from oceans by means of the intake system. Typhoon is one of the main external risks to make a large number of marine organisms and floating debris flood into the water intake of power plants causing blockage so that the safety and economy of power plant operation is affected severely. It is thus of great significance to evaluate the entrainment probability of the power plant intake under storm tide.
