Abstract: This paper presents the development of a modular testbed model framework, integrated into a web-based system to showcase water treatment technologies for a circular economy approach, within a Smart Water Industrial Symbiosis context, developed under the EU H2020 funded ULTIMATE project. Focusing on the greenhouse horticulture sector in the Netherlands, the paper presents the use of a modelling testbed approach integrated into a web-based interface to highlight the potential of electrodialysis water treatment in this sector for enhancing water and nutrient recovery for greenhouse crop cultivation while aiming to reduce energy consumption, system losses and wastewater discharge.
