Abstract: This study assessed the climate change impact on catchment water availability (Tiele, 828.7 km2) using the SWAT model and four Regional Climate Models (RCMs) developed by CORDEX-Africa dataset. The RCMs obtained under RCP4.5 and RCP8.5 scenarios were retrieved, downscaled and bias-corrected to assess the future hydrological conditions of Tiele catchment by 2050. Results indicated an increase up to 1.4°C and 4°C in minimum temperature and maximum temperature respectively by 2050. In addition, the climate model ensemble depicted a decrease in mean annual precipitation of about -1.7% and -4.1% under RCP4.5 and RCP8.5 respectively. Regarding the mean annual surface runoff, an increase of about 4.3% is depicted under RCP4.5 while 13.9% of increase is projected under RCP8.5. Also, a decrease up to 13% and 21% in groundwater is shown for RCP. 5 and RCP8.5 respectively. Moreover, an increase in discharge of about 2.9% and 6.6% is projected under RCP4.5 and RCP8.5 respectively.
