Abstract: With the increasingly severe global water scarcity and river pollution issues, accurate and timely online monitoring of river flow has become particularly important. This article aims to explore and analyze new technologies and their applications in the field of online monitoring of river flow. This article elaborates on the importance of river flow monitoring and the limitations of traditional monitoring methods. It focuses on introducing online monitoring solutions for river flow based on satellite remote sensing technology, automatic identification and tracking technology, as well as solutions for multi device IoT technology and data fusion technology in the online monitoring process. In addition, through practical case studies, this article demonstrates the application effects and potential value of these new technologies in practice. Finally, the main issues facing current technology were discussed, and future development trends were predicted. This study not only provides new perspectives and methods for river flow monitoring, but also valuable reference information for researchers and decision-makers in the field of water and drought disaster prevention.
