Abstract: The live bed concept has been used through the coupling of Liu-Hwang resistance equation with Einstein- Brown sediment transport concept. Two expressions were deduced to get the water depth, bed width and longitudinal slope by giving the water and sediment flows together with the particle diameter. A total of 176 collected field data from stable channels in U.S. A., Pakistan, India, New Mexico and Egypt were used for the verification of the proposed model.
