Causes and Engineering Solutions for Stablising the Bed of River and Navigation in Lap Estuary of Ba RIA-Vung Tau Province

Abstract: This paper presents the research results about laws of morphological, causes, mechanisms of sedimentation and proposed a regulation solution for anti-sedimentation and to make the stability of Lap estuary in Ba Ria-Vung Tau. There are some synthetic methods using in this study: analysis of measured data; processing remote sensing images; especially using modern mathematical models MIKE21/3-coupled-FM to simulate the dynamic system, sediment transportation and morphological evolution of coastal Lap estuaries, selecting and evaluating the effectiveness of proposed science and technology solutions. The research methods and solutions regulation works here can be applied to the study of anti-sedimentation of other estuaries which have similar conditions.
