Abstract: Phan Thiet is the political, economical, cultural and scientific center of Binh Thuan Province. It has many beautiful and attractive beaches, bring about a lot of potential for sea tourism as well as economic activities for the province and the area. However, in recent years, climate change and bad economic development activities have caused severe changes in the river mouth, coast line in this area. For example, serious erosion happened at Doi Duong beach area and beach area in Duc Long commune, mostly caused by wave and wind, occurring at 2 monsoon seasons locally. Current which is dependent on monsoon regime and nearshore sediment alters under influence of coastal protection structures in the study area. To make Phan Thiet always one of the most attractive sea tourism, important economic and political center in the central region, there are needs of assessment, research in details hydrodynamic factors affecting accretion, erosion in the area. By using numerical model, incorporating hydrodynamic wave, current and sediment transport to assess theirs influence to the coastline in the studied area. The studied results are the basis to indentify the plan solution, exploit and integrated coastal zone management of Phan Thiet to stabilize and develop sustainably in the future.
