In 2021, the Sichuan Dujiangyan Management Bureau was renamed as the Dujiangyan Water Conservancy Development Center Sichuan Province, which is managed by the Sichuan Provincial Water Conservancy Department. There are more than 2400 employees now. The Dujiangyan Water Conservancy Development Center Sichuan Province protects the water resources, water ecology and water conservancy projects in the irrigation area in accordance with the law, maintains the order of water affairs in the irrigation area, undertakes the flood prevention and drought control scheduling, operation management and maintenance of the water conservancy project within the scope of its duties, and provides water supply guarantee services for 11.332 million mu of farmland in 40 counties (cities and districts) in seven cities of Chengdu, Mianyang, Leshan, Deyang, Suining, Meishan and Ziyang, and provides water supply guarantee services for more than 28 million people.
