UNESCO Category II Centre on Integrated and Multidisciplinary Water Resources Management, Thessaloniki, Greece (CIMWRM)
Webinar: From the Myths of Hercules to the reality of climate change
26-27 November 2020
The initiative is a joint effort of IAHR, UNESCO and Greek Universities to enhance scientific networking and promote international cooperation in the field of sustainable development, water resources management and engineering in the era of climate change.
The IAHR technical committees on Water Resources Management and Climate Change Adaptation and the working group on Sustainable Development Goals together with UNESCO and various UNESCO Water Centres and Greek Universities organise this webinar to exchange experiences, further explore potential synergies, come up with ideas for joint activities, to engage more people, especially the young generation.
The multidisciplinary scientific approach of water issues and specifically AUTh UNESCO Center’s orientation coupled with the participation of Greek Universities is giving us the opportunity to shed light in water history and especially Greek mythology.
