Kazimierz Banasik, professor emeritus, was teaching and researching at Warsaw University of Life Sciences - SGGW (www.sggw.pl). He taught hydrology, erosion and sedimentation, and flood defences at the Department of Water Engineering in the Faculty for Civil and Environmental Engineering. He also served as a visiting Associate Professor at the Department of Agricultural Engineering, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (http://abe.illinois.edu/), USA. He is currently cooperating as expert with Institute of Meteorology and Water Management-State Research Institute in Warsaw (IMGW-PIB https://www.imgw.pl/en) and with Institute of Technology and Life Sciences in Falenty (https://www.itp.edu.pl/).
